Explore the Norriego Point tide pools

Discover one of the best places to introduce your family to the Gulf of Mexico – Norriego Point! The knee deep tide pools are formed by rocks and roped off from the open waters of East Pass making it a safe space for small kiddos. This creates ideal conditions for dipping into the water, uncovering all kinds of wildlife like fish and hermit crabs. The tide pools are also a great spot to watch the boats coming in and out of the harbor.

Tip from our locals:

The best way to get to Norriego Point is to head towards the Norriego Point Beach Access and Park, located at 343-277 Gulf Shore Drive. Parking is limited, so if you’re close to the beach access point and find a spot, grab it! O’steen Beach access is near by and also available for street parking.
