Where is the closest airport?
The Destin - Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS) is a 15-mile drive from Destin. American Airlines, United, Delta, Allegiant, Glo, and Contour operate out of VPS. What if it rains on the big day?
They say rain on your wedding day means you’ll have good luck, but it won’t feel that way if you’ve arranged for an outdoor ceremony and don’t have a back-up plan. You’ll find that most wedding venues have alternate location available just in case the weather doesn’t cooperate. Ask about options.

Can we get married on a public beach?
Weddings are allowed at all public-access beaches in Okaloosa County because they are owned by the county or the state. Private-access beaches, however, are owned by private citizens or businesses and require permission from the owner or a property manager. Should we get insurance for our wedding?
Weddings sometimes need to be postponed due to a family illness or another unforeseen circumstance, so it is always a good idea to have insurance. Note: If you’re planning to have more than 50 people at your wedding, you may be required to obtain liability insurance and a special event permit.
