To showcase the work of local artists, the Arts and Design Society presents month-long exhibits in their studio windows, facing First Street, Fort Walton Beach. In September, on display for easy viewing, is the art of multi-faceted Helen Blair. Additional information about these works is available in the Art center office. While the window art is available for viewing 24/7, office and gallery hours are 12 noon-4 pm, Tuesday-Friday, and the gallery, which is free to the public, is open also from 1 pm-4 pm, Saturday.

The 31st Northwest Florida Tri-County Fair Fine Arts Show, sponsored by the Arts and Design Society, the Northwest Florida Fair Board, and Cox communications, is scheduled for Monday, September 29-Friday October 3, 5pm-10pm; Saturday, October 4, 2pm-10pm. The Opening Reception for the Show is on Sunday, September 28, from 2pm-4pm. Artworks in every medium will be on display; high school and middle school art will be a special feature. There is no charge for the Reception or Show; both are open to the public.
