When we say "great outdoors," we mean great.
Good Morning America named this area one of the "Top 10 Most Beautiful Places in America," but there's more to do in Destin, Ft. Walton Beach and Okaloosa Island than check out the scenery. Whether you want to golf, fish, go boating, enjoy water sports, bird watch in the park with other ecotourists, go geocaching, or just build a sand castle with the kids, you'll find what you're looking for here.
Marinas & Boat Ramps
The heart of the Emerald Coast offers clear, green water and some of the greatest fishing you will find anywhere – literally. Destin is, in fact, known as the World’ Luckiest Fishing Village. This, combined with additional water ways ideal for fun under the sun, such as Choctawhatchee Bay, and infamous anchor points like Crab Island, makes bringing your boat on vacation with you a no-brainer.
Whether you will be sailing your boat down to Destin, Fort Walton Beach or Okaloosa Island, or hauling it on your trailer, you will need a public boat ramp or hospitable local marina. Luckily, the Emerald Coast has plenty of both!
